This study explores the relationship between adoption of industrial robots and workplace injuries. Using establishment-level data on injuries, we find that a one standard deviation increase in our commuting zone-level measure robot exposure reduces work-related annual injury rates by approximately 1.2 cases per 100 workers. US zones more exposed to penetration experience significant drug- or alcohol-related deaths mental health problems. Employing longitudinal from Germany, exploit within-individual changes document change led 4% decline physical job intensity 5% disability, but no evidence effects work life satisfaction.
